In addition to being a member of the hockey association's executive for a number of years, Baetz has coached at the novice and atom levels. He recently took on the role of equipment manager for the association.
This past summer, Baetz went "above and beyond the call of duty" by soliciting more than $10,000 from sponsors for the purchase of four complete sets of team uniforms.
"Thanks to Conrad's efforts, four of our divisions will have new sweaters, all with a logo he designed," said Inuvik Minor Hockey president Tom Williams. "These will be worn with great pride whenever Inuvik teams travel for tournaments."
Like all great volunteers, Baetz's has a next plan: to secure donations to purchase new goalie equipment for each division.
