Yellowknife (Oct 27/04) - Residents and friends gathered on Oct. 22 to recognize the long service of four employees at Aven Manor.

Lynn Hache has spent the last five years in housekeeping at the Yellowknife seniors' home.

Janice Pardy has been a resident care aide for 10 years.

Agnes Dumas has been working in patient care for 15 years.

Filled many roles

Registered nurse Lynda Koe has filled many roles at the home in the past 15 years.

"There's a high turnover in the North," said Greg Debogorski, director of the Yellowknife Association of Concerned Citizens for Seniors, which owns Aven Manor.

"It's wonderful that they are with an organization that they obviously feel satisfied with."

The award presentations were followed by celebratory cake and tea.
