Yellowknife (Oct 01/04) - Yellowknife RCMP have a suspect in custody after a foot pursuit downtown late Wednesday evening.

According to an RCMP release, officers on patrol observed a break and enter in progress at a downtown business. Police entered the building through a damaged front door. After a short chase, they apprehended a suspect.

Joelie Kutsiq, 30, was charged with break and enter, breach of an undertaking and breach of probation.

He will remain in custody until a show cause hearing.

Kutsiq was already facing two break and enter charges, two breach of probation charges and one count of breach of an undertaking.
