Apart from the silver, Sabina Resources has also found "high grade" sections of zinc, as well as intersections of gold.
The project has been optioned by Sabina from Teck Cominco.
"We have to spend $7 million to earn (100 per cent) interest from Teck Cominco," said Bill Cummins, president and CEO of Sabina. "We've spent $3 million so far and have $12 million in the bank."
Based on the recent results, more money will be spent and more drill work will be done.
"This is a big property and there's an awful lot to do to understand it," said Cummins.
Cummins has a 30-man camp on site and has been using Northern hires as often a possible, but the company has experienced some difficulty with the short drilling season and in getting drills into the area.
"The problem is you can drill so many holes and then have to get them assayed," said Cummins. "You have time problems and you have to go reasonably slowly to get assayed."
"Now we're set up and we can drill faster and deeper holes, all with the proviso that you have to get your answers before you know where to drill next.
"We've got three drills and crews to operate only two because we can't get people, but the performance has been excellent from the drillers," said Cummins.
Cummins isn't just going it alone. He's teamed up with Wolfden Resources' Ewan Downie.
Downie, president and CEO of Wolfden Resources, is also chairperson of Sabina.
Cummins says while there is a partnership between the two men, there is no formal business connection between Wolfden and Sabina.
"Sabina was my company for years. I met Ewan and we started working together, we picked up Hackett River last year and away we went," he said.
