A number of people have been looking at the property, including Fortune Minerals and Tyhee Developments.

Most of the interest has come as a result of looking for deals on used equipment, said Brian Labadie, Miramar's senior vice president.

"They're looking for what might be available either through there or through Ritchie Bros. in Edmonton," said Labadie.

"There will be people coming through looking at the equipment and the mill. Bear in mind that it's an old mill.

"We also have an autoclave that has relatively new technology, being built in 1991," he said.

An autoclave is a high temperature, high pressure vessel that oxidizes sulphide minerals "so you can get the gold out," said Labadie.

While Miramar is accepting offers on the processing mill and the equipment at the mine, Labadie adds Miramar will require most of their equipment and the mill until the end of the year.

"As long as we're running Giant, we'll need to process," he said.

"But it's going cheap," he said, referring to the price he's willing to sell the mill for.
