Rose Lang of Relax Massage in the Beckett Business Centre has been easing peoples muscle pain in Inuvik for a year, with relaxation massage.

Originally from Hazelton, B.C. Lang went to Weimer College in California, where she studied health with a minor in massage therapy.

After school, she moved to Honduras to work and then came to Inuvik.

Using Swedish and trigger point massage therapy, Lang offers one hour and half-hour sessions.

Swedish massage is a relaxation massage and trigger point (massage) is just loosening the knots in muscles, Lang said.

People of all walks of life and occupations make up her clientele, be it to work out the kinks or just to escape.

Sometimes people just need to relax; to get away to a place where no one can call them for an hour, she said.

Lang offers gift certificates for that hard-to-buy-for person on your Christmas list or just a treat for someone who deserves some pampering.

Whether for sore and stressed muscles or just an escape, she says massage is something everyone needs.

The human touch is an important thing; just like they say a baby will die if its never held.
