Iqaluit (Aug 04/03) - All schools in Iqaluit will make room for Joamie students and staff this fall.

Inuktitut and English first language students from kindergarten to Grade 4 will use classrooms in Nakasuk elementary school.

Grade 5s will use l'Ecole des Trois-Soleils and Aqsarniit Middle School.

Education minister Manitok Thompson made the announcement last week.

"I am pleased with the co-operation and goodwill of all parties," she said in a press release. Rannva Simonsen, whose two children attended Joamie, has been busy organizing fundraisers for the school.

Spreading students out in classrooms around the city wouldn't be a bad idea, "if they can work together," she said.
