"I don't mind because it's food," she said.
Hidalgo's cabin on Upper Landing Lake, 12 km north-west of town was the scene of a break and enter sometime last week.
According to Hidalgo the culprit(s) made off with about $50 worth of canned goods.
But, they left a pair of binoculars, a circular saw and two cans of food. They also stole an extension chord and a flashlight.
What upset Hildago the most is they also took her grandson's breakfast, some instant oatmeal.
"We go out there without anything and then when we get there nothing is there," she said.
She said they usually go up every spring and stock the cabin, she added they won't be doing that any more.
Hidalgo wasn't the only person whose cabin was entered.
Dave Petryshen found that someone had jimmied the lock at his place in the same area. Nothing was taken.
"They were probably looking for alcohol," Petryshen said.
The last time he had a problem with a break-in at the cabin was five years ago, he said.
Neither Petryshen or Hidalgo contacted the police feeling it didn't warrant a call.
Cpl. Bob Hodyr said the detachment has had no calls of any break-ins into cabins on the land.
