Bon Jovi's "You give love a bad name" is blaring in the background and a poster of Tiffany is taped up to the portable outhouse close by.

"I'm a dude from the eighties," says Mike Auge.

The slow-pitch softball league threw an eighties party and beer garden Saturday night at Fritz Theil Park.

What does Auge like about the eighties?

"What's not to like about the eighties?" asks Auge.

Auge frequently answers a question with a question. "It makes me look smart and intriguing," he explains.

Joel Campbell also dressed up for the affair, in suit pants, a suit vest, bowling shoes, shades and a crazy wig with a long tail.

"I'm a good-looking businessman from the eighties. "I find the vertical stripes make me look thinner."

Leslie Koe, who was born in the eighties, looked very Grease 2 in her mom's old school spandex and red pumps.

At least one person seemed to have confused the 70s with the 80s. Although Yellowknifer arrived too late to catch the action live, the young revellers revealed a streaker made an appearance at the party. He was buck naked at the party's dunk tank and then tore around the field in his birthday suit, they said.
