Iqaluit (June 09/03) - Police are reviewing a charge of aggravated assault against a 33-year-old Iqaluit man after the victim died.

Dale Pearce, 50, died May 31 at Ottawa Civic Hospital, where he was being treated for head injuries.

RCMP are awaiting the results of an autopsy before they make any decision about charges, said Sgt. Greg Bursey of the Iqaluit detachment.

The accused was arrested after RCMP received a call for assistance at a house in the 2200 area. He will appear at the Nunavut Court house in Iqaluit on July 8.
