Iqaluit (June 16/03) - Seven pounds of marijuana and one ounce of cocaine destined for Iqaluit were seized in Montreal last week.

RCMP at Dorval airport in Montreal and members of the V division drug section in Iqaluit led the investigation.

Three men -- two from Iqaluit and one from Montreal -- have been charged in the bust.

The two Iqaluit men have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to traffic in controlled substances.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 5.

The investigation continues and further charges may be laid.
