Yellowknife (May 09/03) - The annual trade show will have many booths that will keep people entertained for hours. It's a good thing, then, that a few booths will be serving food.

The Yellowknife Direct Charge Co-op will serve hot dogs and pop to hungry "customers" for the low price of one dollar.

"It's a nice, cheap lunch for people and the money goes to charity," said Margaret Woodley, manager of member and public relations at the Co-op.

This year, all proceeds will go to the YWCA.

Last year, the Co-op raised around $1,500, money that was donated to the Salvation Army. Another recipient of the recent past was the Yellowknife Women's Centre.

"People are generous," said Woodley. "They support the Co-op."

The Gourmet Cup will also be on hand, serving patrons espresso-based drinks.

The coffee bar will have a large selection for people to choose from.

Coffee and tea will be available for adults, while children can enjoy the Gourmet Cup's specialty hot chocolate.

A Gourmet Cup gift basket will be this year's draw prize.

People will also be able to purchase food from the Community Arena Concession.

They sell chips, bars, pop, Powerade, coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate. They also sell chicken fingers, fries, burgers and hot dogs.

On the floor, the Reflections booth will sell fudge. The business will have different kinds of fudge available, including maple, chocolate and the spring flavour of pina colada.

Reflections will also be selling candles, candleholders, vases, beanie babies and jewelry.
