Yellowknife (Apr 21/03) - NWT students with a passion for aviation can qualify for one of eight $5,000 bursaries.

The bursaries are for the upcoming academic year in the Aviation Career Development program.

The program, now in its third year, is co-sponsored by the GNWT Department of Transportation and Canadian North.

The deadline is May 31.

Recipients are chosen on the basis of scholastic history, career plan and an essay about their interest in the aviation industry.
