These days it is called Jose Loco's Cantina Bar & Grill. And Ross, as the saying goes, now owns the joint.
"I guess you could say I've come full circle," smiles Ross.
Ross and partner Lyle Denny finalized their purchase of the popular eatery on Monday.
News of the sale spread quickly and Ross has good news for long-time fans of the restaurant's unique food offerings: "Don't worry."
The cantina's eclectic menu mix -- Mexican, Hawaiian, Lebanese and Northern favourites -- won't significantly change.
"We will be tweaking the menu a bit but otherwise we will be retaining everything that has made the restaurant so popular."
Jose Loco's is Ross's first commercial venture.
He retired recently after 17 years with the territorial government.
"I came North initially to work for the Bay but I've been working in pubs and restaurants around town as a sideline for 24 years," said Ross.
"I can't think of a business I would rather be in."
