Mall squall blowing over?

Yellowknife (Apr 05/02) - Days after Centurion Security's David Beckwith was convicted of assault, a flurry of activity seems to be underway regarding another security guard.

Yellowknife's Kendra Codner accused a Centurion employee of attempting to handcuff her following a verbal altercation at Centre Square Mall Feb. 6. Centurion denies the allegation.

Reached at home, Kendra's mother, Martha, confirmed they were in discussions with the employee.

"We're looking at informally resolving it," Martha Codner said.

Police remain tight-lipped about the situation, saying only that the employee has not been charged. The employee did not return phone calls by press time Thursday.
