Day care thanks MLA for his efforts

Inuvik (Feb 09/01) - Midnight Sun Daycare officials presented a token of appreciation to Inuvik Boot Lake MLA Floyd Roland last week.
The move followed efforts Roland made on their behalf last fall when the day care needed more funding to hire new workers, board member Mike Conway explained.
"He helped us identify sources for funds and lobbied on our behalf," Conway said, calling Roland's help instrumental.
"He took action immediately and helped ensure the people we needed to assist us were notified."
Some painting and general repairs are to be conducted at the day care over the next few weeks.
Conway explained they hope to have the work done over several weekends to minimize disruption.
