More bridge money?
Finance Minister Joe Handley hinted that the federal government might be slipping a few more dollars for bridge building his way.
Ottawa put approximately $3.7 million into bridge construction along the Mackenzie winter road this year.
The money, which came through the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, is the topic of discussions between the two governments.
Handley will meet with federal finance minister Paul Martin March 4.
Handley is hoping that money will become an ongoing commitment from Ottawa to NWT's non-renewable resources strategy.
