FORT SIMPSON (Jul 31/98) - If you're wondering where all the youth of Fort Simpson have gone, you might want to check the Keybrand arcade.

The amusement parlor is a popular hangout for teenagers and pre-teens.

Owner and manager Keyna Norwegian said she's been very pleased with the conduct of the youth since she opened the establishment a little over a month ago.

"I spend a lot of time here and I think these kids are just great. They don't get out of hand. I've had no trouble with them," she said.

There have been a few arcades in Fort Simpson before but the last time one existed was about two years ago, Norwegian said. So when the opportunity to established the Keybrand arose, she jumped on it.

"It was just kind of a spur of the moment thing," she said. The name, Keybrand, is a combination of her own and her son, Brandon's, names.

She hopes to keep the interest flowing by changing the video games.

"We're going to bring in some more or get something different," she said.

For now, nine-year-old patron Skylar Tanche is quite content as long as his favorite game, "Bubble Bobble," is around.

"That's my best round," an exicted Tanche said after completing a game.
