NNSL (Mar 27/98) - A team of RCMP officers from Yellowknife is in Kugluktuk today to help investigate the death of four members of a family in the Kitikmeot community.

Responding to reports of gun shots early Thursday morning, police discovered the bodies of three children and one adult in their home.

All had died of gunshot wounds. The adult's wound was apparently self-inflicted, suggesting a murder-suicide.

A fifth member of the family, a young boy, survived by running from the house, police say.
