NNSL (Sep 10/97) - The crowd of those hoping to earn your votes is thickening up a bit.

So far, nine candidates for an alderman's seat have filed their nomination papers.

They are incumbants Ruth Spence and Blake Lyons, and challengers Bob Findlay, Kevin O'Reilly, Bob Brooks, Robert Slaven, Cheryl Best, John Best and David Anderson.

Mayor Dave Lovell is the only candidate to officially enter the mayoralty race.
