Fraser Pingo, coach for the Falcons, said the regular season win can be credited to the team's strong defence.
"Our defence is always there, and if we get the bats together it's a bonus," he said.
One of the game highlights was in the final inning when Falcon's player Kevin Allen batted an inside-the-park home run with bases empty.
Pingo said that is an example of how a good day at bat can make the difference.
"Our bats came through for us today, some days it's pretty silent," he said.
Being a well-oiled machine is always an advantage when it comes to sports and though many of the league's eight teams with the slo-pitch league have long standing players, just a little bit more can be a determiner.
"We've been together for quite a few years now, the same group of people," said Pingo.
Inuvik Softball League teams play every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday during the season.
The Inuvik Slo-pitch Association ruled this year that teams can umpire their own games due to issues with scheduling other teams to have players come to games.
The league's Midnight Sun Tournament will take place over the Aug. 1 to 3 long weekend.
