If you're looking for a place to watch the Super Bowl, Twist is open under new ownership, with a new menu and an eight-and-a-half foot projection TV.
Colin Snow, co-owner with Jason Perrino of the After 8 Pub, and now Twist, said taking over Twist was a good fit. The larger kitchen at Twist means an extensive new menu. After 8 will no longer be offering lunch service. - Walter Strong/NNSL photo

"We'll have a Super Bowl Sunday special," said Colin Snow, co-owner of Twist and the After Eight Pub with Jason Perrino.
Snow and Perrino took over Twist at the end of December, and recently ended lunch service at the After 8 in favour of Twist's downtown location.
"It's a better location for lunch," Snow said. "We've added few new items that we couldn't offer at After 8."
Homemade favourites from After 8 are still available on the Twist menu. New additions include a 6 oz steak sandwich, a Thai quinoa salad, fish and chips, and donair, veggie and cajun chicken pitas.
Sato Chankasingh remains the owner of the building, and continues to run Fuego downstairs.
Other than a fresh coat of paint and made some minor alterations in furniture and floor plan, Perrino and Snow made the change-over simple, even keeping the Twist name.
The biggest change is the large projection TV that occupies the rear wall.
"We'll be showing all the games," Snow said.
Perrino said they're comfortable carrying on the Twist legacy.
"That's what the space is already known as," Perrino said. "We're not re-branding."
New brand or not, Twist will be introducing a new weekly special. Tuesday night will be pierogi night, in addition to Wednesday wing night and Thursday prime rib night.
After 8 remains open for evening hours. Customers there will be able to order some new items off the Twist menu.
