The only things that haven't changed at the After 8 Neighbourhood Billiard Room are the pool tables and golf simulator, since Jason Perrino and Colin Snow took over the location in April.

Snow said he and Perrino had been looking for a business venture to take part in and with their experience in service and the venue's small kitchen, the billiard room seemed like the perfect fit.
Combined, the pair have more than 10 years of experience in the service industry. Snow was most recently general manager of Twist and Fuego.
"I wanted a business where I didn't have to rely on someone else," said Snow, referencing the fact they won't need to hire a chef.
Snow and Perrino did decide the location needed a facelift.
They closed the billiard room from April 18 to May 7 after taking possession on April 4 in order to complete extensive renovations, including new carpets, tables, chairs, decorations, and bathrooms before the city's billiard league's wrap-up party on May 11.
"Everything is different," said Snow. "It's really a place where you can sit and relax."
The pool tournaments After 8 is known for - the establishment sponsors eight of the league's 20 teams - are set to return in September.
Saturday walk-in tournaments will also return in September.
One of the crowning achievements of the renovations was a karaoke system installed by Roy's Audio and Video.
Speakers and televisions throughout the venue are hooked up to the system and will be the focus of karaoke nights on Saturday.
"I wanted us to be known as the best karaoke in town," said Snow. "I thought, if I'm going to do this, I'm going to do this right."
What would make the plans complete is approval for use of the location's patio, which they may not get until June 25, since permission was not grandfathered in their liquor licence from the previous owners, Snow said.
In the meantime, they plan to continue work on the patio, building higher fencing, perfecting a patio drink menu, and adding plants to give the spot an enclosed, lounge-worthy ambiance.
