PAULATUK - A group of 12 Paulatuk residents are the newest trainees at Darnley Bay Resources camp. The exploration company is getting ready to complete drilling for precious metal deposits near the community.

To prepare the workers, Paulatuk's community counselling program has organized work readiness and anger management sessions for trainees who would like to participate.

The workers are getting trained in first aid, class 7 driver's licensing and firearms permits before they can work on site. The company has already started drilling but has not yet reported any findings to the community, according to Paulatuk Community Corporation chair Gilbert Thrasher Sr.
