Two arrested in stabbing Cara Loverock Northern News Services Published Friday, December 19, 2008
The RCMP forced their way into the apartment after hearing shouting and death threats coming from inside, according to a police spokesperson. A 26-year-old man who sustained wounds to his lower back was treated at the hospital. He was later charged with sexual assault as a result of the police investigation. He is accused of having attempted to sexually assault an 18-year-old woman who was also in the apartment. RCMP Const. Kathy Law would not go into detail of what happened to the woman but said it was enough to charge the 26-year-old with sexual assault. She added that the woman wasn't physically hurt.
