RANKIN INLET - The hamlet of Rankin Inlet has announced it will be hosting two ball tournaments this month.

The Calm Air Cup mixed slopitch tournament will be held from Aug. 1012.

Registration is $100 and all Kivalliq communities are invited to compete.

The following weekend, Aug. 1719, Rankin will host the annual under17 mixed Kivalliq Junior Softball Championship.

As of press time, five of the Kivalliq’s seven communities were planning to attend the event.
