CHESTERFIELD INLET - The 2007 Kivalliq Inuit Summer Games ended in tragedy when a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a young female this past weekend in Chesterfield Inlet.

The Chesterfield Inlet detachment of the RCMP would release no information on the tragedy, other than to confirm a female had died in the accident when the driver of a silver Ford truck lost control and crashed.

Two other people sustained injuries in the crash.

The RCMP did confirm the deceased female is not from Chesterfield Inlet.
