RANKIN INLET - Kivalliq residents interested in casual employment with the Nunavut government in their community can now register their name with an online system geared for matching applicants with available casual jobs within the government.
The new system is expected to make it easier for applicants to manage and update their profiles online as they develop skills and experience.
The system will also be faster in matching applicants with available job opportunities than the old paper process.
The online system is being piloted in Iqaluit before being used throughout the territory. Anyone interested in the program can check it out at gntempjobs.ca.
