Yellowknife (Jan 20/06) - Yellowknife RCMP charged three persons with drug offenses after a raid at a downtown residence Jan. 12.

According to Yellowknife RCMP Const. Colleen Werrell, an estimated 4.5kg of marijuana, a gram of cocaine, cash, computers and drug paraphernalia were seized.

One man was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Another man was charged with possession of marijuana and a woman was charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

All three will appear in territorial court March 28.

Police would not identify the trio and said their investigation is continuing.
