Yellowknife (Nov 28/05) - Iqaluit RCMP are investigating a pellet gun shooting that sent two youth to hospital.
On Nov. 16 at around 5 p.m., two youth were shot with a pellet gun between The Snack restaurant and the neighbouring convenience store.
A 17-year-old boy had a pellet lodged in his forearm and his 16-year-old companion was hit in the throat, said police. The boy shot in the arm was wearing a thin windbreaker jacket, and the pellet tore through the jacket into his arm.
"It looks like the shots came from different locations," said Const. Ashley Browne.
RCMP are requesting the public's help and ask anyone with information to contact the Iqaluit RCMP or Crimestoppers.
