Yellowknife (July 27/05) - Yellowknife RCMP responded to 250 complaints between July 12 and July 25. Of these, 69 of them involved alcohol.
Police responded to 19 complaints of break and enter. Eight of these involved businesses while the other 11 were residential break and enters.
There was one theft from a vehicle reported.
During the two-week period, police investigated six illegal drug complaints.
There were 53 assaults reported. Of those 38 were common assaults, five were assault with a weapon, and 10 were sexual assaults.
There were 133 calls concerning disturbances received.
There were six motor vehicle accidents, one which resulted in a non-fatal injury and five which saw damages of more than $1,000.
Police received five calls of motor vehicle thefts.
Officers issued five traffic tickets during this time.
