Participants in the June 14 walk will receive a t-shirt bearing the popular logo while learning a little more about what it's like to be visually impaired.
"We want to give people an idea of some of the challenges which visually impaired people face," said Norma Jean Jarvis, regional manager of the CNIB NWT-Nunavut.
Four sensory sites will be set up along the walk allowing participants to wear glasses simulating sight-impaired conditions such as macular degeneration, a problem affecting nearly one in four people over the age of 75, Jarvis said.
People wanting to take part in the Yellowknife walk can contact Jarvis for more information.
