For Sir John Franklin high school class of '93, the memories all came flooding back Saturday, when they reunited after 10 long years apart.
"I thought it would be something fun to do," said organizer Maria Hunt. "It's one of those things that people want to do after this long."
Hunt, and identical twin sister Julia Sorge, organized the reunion which involved an afternoon of fun at the Fred Henne Territorial Park boat launch, followed by a reunion party at the Racquet Club in the evening.
"It is a pretty good turn-out, said Maria, adding her biggest surprise was finding out how successful many of her former classmates turned out.
Terry Isnor came all the way from Cambridge Bay and was excited about the reunion.
"They way they look really surprised me," said Isnor.
Isnor actually signed up on Classmates.com, a Web site designed to reunite former classmates.
"Maria saw my name on the Web site and contacted me through e-mail," said Isnor.
"I am really glad I came."
Of course, every class has a clown, and although not self-proclaimed, Rosh Begg was voted by most to be the joker of the class.
"I don't remember much," said Begg. "All I know is there were good times and bad times, just like in any high school."
Begg, still a resident of Yellowknife, said reuniting with old friends brings back a lot of emotions.
"Everyone is still the same and the way we are is still the same," said Begg.
"They just look a lot better than they did 10 years ago," he joked, keeping with his "class clown" title.
