Ludger LaPointe, senior superintendent for Manshield, said the subcontractors on the project include: Whitemud Construction, Volker Stevin Contracting, Nahanni Construction, Ryfan Electric, JSL Mechanical and Foothills Acoustics.
The new Extra Foods building will be 62,000 sq. ft. in size including 12,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space.
"It's a much larger store and will have far more general merchandise and a full housewares department as well as a bed and bath department," said Lori Stene, public affairs director for Westfair Foods.
"Our intent is to move all our employees from the Range Lake store to the new store and we're also going to be hiring some additional employees probably around 25 new employees," said Stene.
The new store is expected to open Nov. 14.
